She was inside her tent. She was glazing at a map. With a telescope beside it. She had a sickish feeling that she was going to love the telescope. She loved animals to insects to bugs. Also when she is hungry she gets a little cranky. Our little secret. It was summertime she had nobody to talk to. So she talked on her own. Our little secret! Alice was an adventurous person. She loved looking through the woods. She loved flowers. All types. She could come across a flower and gaze at it forever! What did I tell you ! She loved the telescope! She was so excited to discover the telescope. Alice loves the telescope for one reason. That is because she could see animals through them! OH MY GOSH!!! Alice spotted bumble bees and kept her telescope in that direction. She just loved happy insects, animals or bugs! She is absessed with them. Alice loves the yellow and black colors of the bumblebees. She loves the twinkiling 6 legged crawlers. She noticed that the bees came closer, and closer. Then Alice got scared. For the first time in animal life she was terrified! Then the bees just wanted to give her a nice sweet flower. How sweet. Then Alice and the bees constantly kept playing. Their playing like normal people. It looks like the bees are enjoying their friendship. How can we stop the friendship they had for each other! I definitely know I cant! All of a sudden. Alice heard a scream of her name. AllLLLIIICCCEEE!!! She ran off as she said farewell to the bees. That was her mom calling her for dinner. Bye Alice!! ![]() ![]() Written by: Madelena, 7 years old Illustrated by: Chuck Gonzales
There was a boy. His name was Max.
He saw something. It looked like a tree. It was growing. He was surprised. It grew big. He saw an octagon Window. It was a mansion. Max rang the bell and shook the monkey's hand. They had a chat. Then the monkey said, "My name is Quinn." Max and Quinn swung on the chandelier. Then Max ran up the steps and Quinn slid down the pole. Max and Quinn felt happy and ran out to play. The tire swing swung so fast that it snapped off the branch. The tire swing flew so high. It went above the clouds. Then the birds helped them. Then they went into the ocean. They were floating above the water. Fish were under them swimming. They met an octopus. His name was Duncan. He shook Quinn's hand. He was friendly! Duncan helped them to shore. And then Duncan waved bye to them. Quinn and Max helped him by giving him their tire. The farmer repaid them by dropping them off at home. It was time to go to bed, so they waved goodnight. It was the next morning. He was shocked because he said "Where is the house"? ![]() ![]() Written by: Adele, 8 years old Illustrated by: Marilena Perilli Once upon a time. There lived a girl named Holly, she lived in California. She wanted to travel around the world. "We don't have enough money" said her mom. "We don't have enough money" said her dad. But Holly wanted to travel around the world. So one day she took all the money She could find "I will use this money to travel around the world" she said to herself. And she did. Every night she slept in a tent and decided where to go next. By now her parents where frightened. In the middle of july, Holly decided to go to Africa. And she did. When she got there she was so interested she decided to live there. Holly built a hut out of bamboo sticks, and lived in it. She bought a telescope and explored every day (for Africa fascinated her). "Amazing" she said when she saw a new insect. "Fantastic", she said when she saw a new animal. "Impressive", she said when she saw a new plant. And the best part is she never got sick because she ate herbs and fruits. By now her parents had given up on looking for Holly at all. It was the middle of August when she bumped into three bees. These were no ordinary bees: they could talk. "I am sorry," said Holly. "I beg you pardon," said one of the bees. "We know your parents," said a different one. "And they miss you," said the third one. "They do," said Holly in shock. "You never told them that you had left," said the first bee. "Oh, You are right," said Holly. "I made a mistake. Didn't I?" "We'll help you get back," said the second one. "How will you do that?" asked Holly. "We'll shrink you and you can ride on us," said the third bee. "My! What foolish nonsense!" said Holly. "What are you talking about?" said the first one. "It's quite simple," said the second. "All we have to do is rub a flower against your cheek," added the third. So, Holly found a flower, and the bees started rubbing her cheek. "You are right. It worked gasped Holly. "Of course," said the first. "But now," she said. "Never mind that, just get on," said the second. "Hang on, I have to get my things," said Holly. And she did. "Now get on," said the third one. So, Holly got on. "Woo-hoo!" Holly would say whenever they made a sharp turn. "Home at last!" Holly would daydream, whenever they reached a new state. The bees and Holly had pleasant conversation. "We are here," said the first bee, when they got there. "Are you sure?" said the second. "He is right," said Holly. "This is my backyard." She added. "Why can't I be right for once?" grumbled the second bee. "It's not that bad," said the third bee to the second. "Shh. Listen," said Holly. "What is it?" said the first bee. "My mom and dad," said Holly. "Nice voice," said the second bee. "Bye," said Holly. "Good bye," said the three bees together. "I will write to you," said Holly. "We will answer," said the third bee. "I really have to go now." Said Holly. And she left. "Cute girl," said the first bee. "I know said the second." "Holly!" said her mom. "Mom!" said Holly. "I'm so sorry, I left you," said Holly. "It's alright," said her mom. "All that matters is that you are safe," said her mom. "Safe?" said Holly in shock. "I just had the best time of my life," said Holly. "Good!" said her mom.
