GENERAL. While our web site is obviously devoted to the education and cultural enhancement of children, we understand all to well the importance of protecting their personal information. SPECIFICALLY FOR CHILDREN UNDER 13. As soon as we obtain actual knowledge that a visitor to our site is under the age of 13 we do not collect or store any personally identifiable information, such as name, address or email address, from that visitor.
These are the types of personal information we collect from visitors to our site, how information is collected and who collects it.
First, be assured that we only collect personal information on a voluntary basis. However, if you do submit information to us, it will usually be through one of the following: [(1) the purchase of goods or services though our on-line store, (2) product registration, e-Newsletter registration or registration for on-line game and/or e-card participation, (3) message boards, (4) warranty registrations, (5) sweepstakes and contest registrations, (6) a consumer complaint, (7) surveys, and/or (8) newsletters.] The types of personally identifying information collected may include your name, home address, phone number, and/or e-mail address. We do not require this information to use our products or gain access to our sites, however, you will not be able to utilize certain features that require registration or receive materials such as newsletters unless such information is provided.
Visitors purchasing products or services through our on-line store will be required to provide additional information such as a valid credit card number, expiration date, and shipping and billing addresses.
For some activities, we may ask you to create a username and password and/or to provide other, non-personal information such as your age, date of birth, gender, and/or game and platform preferences; and, combine such information with your personal information. In addition, your web browser or client software may transmit to us certain geographic information or information regarding the capabilities of your computer. The Company may use this information (1) to generate aggregate statistics about our user community or (2) for security or enforcement purposes. Further, we may provide this information to advertisers or our partners.
In most circumstances involving your visit to or use of our web site, the Company or a third party vendor of the Company (see next section) will be collecting the personal information described in this section. In certain circumstances where we provide goods or services in conjunction with partner companies, we may share personal information you submit to us relating to those goods or services with our partners. In other circumstances involving such goods or services, another company other than Think It Ink It Publishing, LLC may be collecting your personal information but you will be notified of this at the time the information is collected. In any case, however, if you do not want your information shared, you can choose not to allow the transfer of information by not purchasing or using that particular good or service or by not providing any information at that time.
This is how we use your personal information.
The personal information you provide the Company allows us to fulfill your product or service order; alert you of new products or services, features, or enhancements; handle/route your customer service questions or issues; or notify you of upgrade opportunities, contests, promotions, or special events and offers. The Company may enhance or merge the collected personal information with data from third parties. Please be aware that we cannot control the activities of third parties to whom we provide data, and as such we cannot guarantee that they will adhere to the same privacy and security procedures as the Company.
The Company’s web site may also have message boards and/or chat areas, where users can exchange ideas and communicate with one another. When posting to a message board or chat area, please be aware that the information is being made publicly available on-line and the user does so at his or her own risk.
Your ability to limit the Company’s collection, use, and distribution of your personal information.
This describes how you can control the way that we use the personally identifiable information that we might obtain from you. At the time you provide this information, the Company may give you the option of declining any future offers or information about new products, promotions, or services. In addition, many of the "mailings" we may send you, such as newsletters, have procedures within them to cancel the receipt of any future mailings.

How we use “cookies” and Internet protocol addresses.
“Cookies” are a feature of web browser software that allows web servers to recognize the computer used to access a web site. They are small pieces of data that are stored by a user’s web browser on the user’s hard drive. Information gathered through cookies and web server logs may include information such as the date and time of visits, the pages viewed, time spent at the site, and the web sites visited just before and just after our site. Cookies can remember what information a user accesses on one web page to simplify subsequent interactions with that web site by the same user or to use the information to streamline the user’s transactions on related web pages. We use web site browser software tools such as cookies and web server logs to gather information about our site users’ browsing activities in order to constantly improve our site and better serve our customers. This information assists us to design and arrange our web pages in the most user-friendly manner and to continually improve our site to better meet the needs of our customers and prospective customers. We do not use these technologies to capture your individual e-mail address or any personally identifying information about you although they do permit us to send focused online banner advertisements or other such responses to you. An Internet protocol ("IP") address is the unique number assigned to your server or Internet Service Provider ("ISP"). The Company may track IP addresses for system administration, to report aggregate information, site tracking, or to prevent our servers from being abused.
Security of your personal information.
We work to protect the security of your personal information during transmission through the use of Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software which encrypts the information you input. When we confirm an order we reveal only the last five digits of your credit card number. Of course, we transmit the entire credit card number to the appropriate credit card company during order processing.
While the Company takes reasonable steps to secure your personal information, no system is fault proof. If our security systems are breached, we may attempt to notify you electronically and, by providing personal information to us, you agree that we can notify you electronically. In certain circumstances, the Company may post a notice on our web site if a security breach occurs. However, you will need a web browser enabling you to view our web site in order to access such notice. The Company may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us. Depending on where you live, you may have a legal right to receive notice of a security breach in writing. To receive free written notice of a security breach (or to withdraw your consent from receiving electronic notice) you should notify us at privacy@thinkitinkitpublishing.com. If your email address changes and you have provided us with personal information, you should also notify the Company at privacy@thinkitinkitpublishing.com so that we can communicate with you if necessary.
